BENEFIT FOR HANNA HUGHES (9/11)

Benefit for Hanna Hughes, Rookies Grill and Bar, September 11, 2010, 1:00pm - 10:00pm.  Hanna is 16 years old and was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in April, a very aggressive bone cancer.  Though Hanna endured a series of chemotherapy treatments, the doctors' recommendation was to remove her right hip, pelvic bone, and leg on June 23.  Doctors are confident they have removed all cancer.  Hanna has been remarkably strong and positive in her recovery efforts but as you might imagine, in addition to several more months of chemotherapy, she has to learn an entirely new lifestyle.  Hanna's house is a split-level model with many stairs making it almost impossible for Hanna to move around in her own home.  This benefit will assist with the expense of providing a more Hanna-accessible home.  Hanna's story has touched so many people extending around the world as evidenced by the many entries on her Caring Bridge site.  She is determined to get back to life; like she says "I'm still the same person, just minus one leg".  Please help make this event a huge success - this is a very special girl and her family thanks you for any support you can give.
